About Antique Carpenters
Scott Brown started Antique Carpenters 35 years ago as a wooden boat carpenter doing extensive repairs and restorations. Now a father-son business, Antique Carpenters specializes in restoring historic properties, landmarks and churches, sleighs, popcorn wagons, carts, antique automobiles, boats and traditional timber framing structures. We also specialize in restoring missing elements such as sash work, inlays, copper work, corbels, gingerbread, stair elements and finials. Our large and well appointed woodshop is located in Bay Shore, New York.

"Restoration is our business, hobby, and what we truly enjoy."

Master Craftsman, Scott W. Brown and son James.

Lifetime resident of Bay Shore and Islip, Scott and his son Jim have always had an interest in antiques and historic buildings and homes.
Ongoing education includes New York University Manhattan Historic and Restoration and Casting, South Street Seaport workshops, and the TimberFraming Academy in Tennessee.

Fully licensed and insured.
